Poptropica Steam Robot Costume is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

There’s a new costume available in the Poptropica Store to help celebrate the release of the newest island in Poptropica, Steamworks Island. The new costume is called the Steam Robot, and it’s a great little robot outfit, complete with helmet and steam-powered backpack. You can get it in the store for credits or for free with your Poptropica membership. Here’s a look at the item card for the costume. The caption reads, “Domo arigato” which is a reference to the old Mr. Roboto song from Styx. The Steam Robot costume in Poptropica.

Island with a Mansion

Island with a Mansion
by mashakim

Island with a Mansion is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

The Poptropica Creators have started to show some really early concept sketches of the newest upcoming island. Of course there’s no name yet, but we know it will include a mansion. And that’s really all they’ve told us so far. Since we’re only seeing really early sketches, this new island is probably still quite a ways off. In the meantime, the countdown for the public release of Steamworks Island continues. It will be available for everyone to play on September 9. What do you think of the sketches of the mansion? It looks very fancy! P.S. We moved PoptropicaSecrets.com to a brand new server tonight. Please post a comment or visit the Contact page to let us know if you see anything that’s not working right. Thanks!

Poptropica Fortune Cookie

Poptropica Fortune Cookie
by mashakim

Poptropica Fortune Cookie is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

There’s a new item in the Poptropica Store this week. It’s the fortune cookie and it works very differently from most items that you usually find in the store. First of all, there are two different ways that you can use it: Tell my fortune Give a fortune If you choose the first option, you’ll get a short animation of the fortune cookie opening up and it will reveal your own fortune. Here’s some of the fortunes I’ve received from the cookie. You will find lots of chewing gum in your future…under your desk. Friendship should never be taken for granted. When times are difficult, you will find strength. Think of your freckles as a close friend and you will never be alone. When you choose the second option while you’re inside a multi-verse or multi-player room, you can put the fortune cookie down on the ground. Then after three different people click on it, everyone who clicked gets a fortune. Cool!

First Ten Finishers of Steamworks Announced

The official Poptropica blog revealed the first ten finishers of Steamworks Island on their blog today. They used to announce them on the official Facebook page but then they closed that page down. I’m glad they started showing the list on the blog! Unfortunately my name’s not up there because like a lot of you I got stuck in some places . Congratulations to Bronze Monster for finishing Steamworks Island before anyone else! This was a tough island. By the way, the official blog claims that Astro-Knights was the hardest island to beat, but then again that might be because it was written by the Binary Bard (a.k.a. Mordred the villain.) I think he has a point: Astro-Knights was tough to beat and to this day has I think the hardest boss fight of all. But the puzzles and challenges in Steamworks were harder I think. If you need help, please check out the walkthrough I created yesterday . There are now both video and written versions available. Having trouble? Leave a question in the comments and you’ll get help pretty quickly.

Scenes from Steamworks

Steamworks Island just came out yesterday and it’s one of the most challenging islands yet on Poptropica. There are many different puzzles and sometimes it takes some really creative thinking to get past some of the obstacles in your way. And of course it’s a lot of fun to play with a few interesting surprises tossed in. Another thing that’s really cool is the scenery. A lot of the artwork and backgrounds are beautiful. The setting of the island is in the steam-powered era of the 1800’s and it has a Steampunk feel about it. Here are some of the scenes you’ll encounter on your quest through the island. Note, to save space I’ve made all of these pictures thumbnails. Click on them to make them bigger. Your arrival in Steamworks Island on Poptropica Inside the Mech Repair Shop in Steamworks Island Fighting one of the boss monsters at the end of Steamworks. You'll flip out over all the great scenery. You'll rescue the citizens and discover why they've been missing. There are machines, levers, cogs and wheels everywhere in Steamworks Island. You'll need a little chemistry to defeat this plant monster.

Steamworks Island is Tough

OK, kudos to the Poptropica Creators for making a really challenging adventure. There have been a couple of spots that have been pretty tricky to solve. And here’s a big admission: I’m stuck. I’ve got quite a bit of the walkthrough completed but I can’t figure out how to get past the alarm system in the greenhouse. When you leave the maintenance closet after setting off the alarm, there’s this water cannon that prevents you from leaving. I can’t get past it and I can’t figure out how to get the key from the robot in the closet without setting off the alarm. Have you figured this part out yet? If so, post a comment with the solution here and you will get my everlasting thanks and some big-time credit when the walkthrough is complete. Can't...get...past...water...cannon. Update: See, this is what I love about the PoptropicaSecrets.com community. You guys rock. I got a response in less than five minutes. Thanks, DR3 !!! The answer, as DR3 points out in the comments below, is to jump up to the glass dome above the closet. There are some (pretty hard to see) cracks in the dome. Use the rubber mallet on those to break out of there. OK, now back to uploading the videos! And now for my great escape.

Steamworks Island Trailer

We still don’t have an official launch date for Steamworks Island, but at least the Poptropica Creators have posted a new trailer. Here it is. It’s only a little over a minute long, but you’ll find out a lot of new details and secrets about this newest island quest. The Sprocket robot that they’ve been previewing to us shows up in the video and it looks like you team up with him. Also check out some of the killer plants you’ll have to fight. Cool! The big thing to notice about the new island is the lack of Poptropicans. There are only machines and plants and that’s part of the big mystery we’ll have to solve on this new island quest. Where have all the people gone?

Steamworks Sprocket

We’re still eagerly waiting for Steamworks Island to be released on Poptropica. No launch dates have been announced, but the Poptropica Creators have been busy posting some sneak peeks and teasers on their Web site. The latest group of posts are about some sort of creature you’ll find on the island. It looks like a little metallic ball with spinning rotors on its top. Here’s what the Binary Bard has to say about it on the blog: Imagine my surprise when I came across a strange-looking machine on Steamworks Island. The place is full of old gears and pulleys and things, but most of it is rusted out and hasn’t been used for years. This one looked a little different — different enough to pique my curiosity. A sprocket from Poptropica Steamworks Island They don’t reveal much about it but if you look at the filename of the images, you’ll see that it’s called Sprocket . I guess we’ll just have to wait to learn more!
