Great Pumpkin Island Now Here for Members is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

Members can now play Great Pumpkin Island. Check back soon for the compete walkthrough and video! Woot! Got the medallion from Lucy at the end. Well, I finished Great Pumpkin Island. It’s a good adventure with a lot of different mini-games in it, including several mini-games at the Halloween Party towards the end. The island closely follows the storyline from the TV Special so if you’ve seen it (who hasn’t?) then you’ll be pretty familiar with how things go. I got stuck for a while when trying to load the pumpkin pushing game near the beginning…it wouldn’t load and I got that never-ending vine animation. Finally I got lucky and was able to proceed. Full walkthrough coming soon! Stuck at the blue screen of death in Poptropica.

Poptropica Fish Hooks Advertisement Walkthrough

Poptropica Fish Hooks Advertisement Walkthrough
by mashakim

Poptropica Fish Hooks Advertisement Walkthrough is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

There’s a new advertisement quest available on some of the Poptropica islands. I found it over on Shark Tooth Island in the usual spot on Main Street. It features many of the characters from the Disney Fish Hooks TV show . In this mission, you need to sneak into the yearbook room and swap a bad photo of Bea with a good one. This is a pretty easy mission to do as long as you know to go to the room on the left (the Hokey Poke) before you enter the high school. That’s where you’ll get the key to the yearbook room so that you can swap the photos. The only challenging part are the cannons that shoot pearls at you as you make your way to the room. But all you need to get past them is to duck under each one. Watch the video for the complete walkthrough.

Tips for Finding the Blue Birthday Balloon in Poptropica

Tips for Finding the Blue Birthday Balloon in Poptropica
by mashakim

Tips for Finding the Blue Birthday Balloon in Poptropica is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

All week Poptropica has been celebrating its 3rd birthday with balloon-filled celebrations going on inside the common areas. And there’s a special rare #3 balloon that sometimes appears in these rooms. If you find it and click on it, you’ll get a special birthday costume for your Poptropican. Judging from all the questions in the comments section, a lot of people are having trouble finding that balloon. It is tough and requires a lot of patience, so here are some tips to make it easier! The balloon can appear in any multi-player room, which are usually found in the Main Street area of all the islands. It can also appear in player multi-verses. Be patient. Go inside the common room and then look at all the balloons that appear. If it’s in there, it will appear right away. Look carefully because at first it will probably appear behind other balloons. But since it moves around you should be able to see it quickly. If the balloon is not there, just exit the room and come back in. You’ll get a new set of balloons. It can take many, many tries to find the blue balloon, so don’t give up! Killer Tip: The best room to visit to find the blue birthday balloon is the Soda Pop Shop in Early Poptropica. This is the smallest common room in the game, and you won’t have to move around to find the balloon. If it’s in there, you’ll spot it immediately. Otherwise, just go out the door and try again. The Soda Pop Shop in Early Poptropica is the best place for birthday balloon hunting. You don't have to move around inside the Soda Pop Shop to spot all the balloons.

Dodo Bird and General Store

Dodo Bird and General Store

Dodo Bird and General Store is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

There are two new clues about the upcoming island in Poptropica. This isn’t about Great Pumpkin Island, the special Halloween mini-quest that’s coming for the holidays, but for a new main island quest that the Creators have been talking about for a few weeks. We’ve code-named it Dinosaur Island until we learn more. Poptropica hasn’t said it will feature dinosaurs, but we’re really hoping it will. The outside of a General Store in Poptropica's upcoming island. This week the Creators gave us two new screenshots. One is of the exterior of a General Store and the second is the interior of a mansion. Inside the mansion is an ornate round window with a stuffed Dodo bird sitting on the window sill. At least it sure looks like a Dodo. The creators don’t say for sure, instead asking the question, “What kind of bird is that, anyway?” If you’re not familiar with the Dodo, it was a small flightless bird that went extinct in the mid-1600s. It was a very tasty bird to eat and since it couldn’t fly, it was easy to catch. It’s one of the first known examples of humans causing another species to go extinct. I think this is also a clue for the island. The person living in the mansion must definitely be concerned with extinct animals. Hmmm, what other kinds of species are extinct? Oh, I don’t know…maybe dinosaurs ?

Getting Crowded in the Pumpkin Patch is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

If you take a visit over to the sneak preview of the Great Pumpkin Island, you’ll see that it’s getting a little more crowded in the pumpkin patch. Last week, Charlie joined Linus and this week Lucy has appeared as well. You can talk to all three and learn a little bit more about the Great Pumpkin and the plans that Linus has to see it when it arrives. There’s still no word on an exact release date for this island, but you can be sure it will be well before Halloween. Last year, the Poptropica Haunted House mini-quest was released on October 8, several weeks before the holiday. Linus and Charlie are hanging out in the Great Pumpkin Island pumpkin patch.

There’s a new advertisement mission available for older Poptropicans. It’s a promotion for a new Disney TV show called Pair of Kings. In this quest, you need to rescue the two new king, Boomer and Brady. It’s a pretty simple mission where you navigate through a maze inside a cave and try to find the two kidnapped kings who are locked in a cage. When you rescue them, you get two rewards, a Pair of Kings outfit that features a nice crown and the Pair of Kings volcano totem, which summons a fire storm of hot rocks and lava. There’s another Froot Loops advertisement quest in Poptropica. In this mission, you must defeat the Witch Doctor, who has stolen the Froot Loops Sprinkles cereal in a series of mini-games. There are four different games to play and most of them are very easy. The only challenging one is the last one, where you need to hit him with a catapult while avoiding his shrinking magic. Here’s the video walkthrough of the entire quest. When you complete the quest you’ll get two items. The first is a Witch Doctor Headdress and the second is the Froot Loops Sprinkle Dust.

Poptropica 3rd Birthday Balloons is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

Poptropica is celebrating its 3rd birthday this month and to mark the occasion, they’ve put lots of balloons in all of the common rooms. That includes the common areas found on all the Main Street zones in the Poptropica islands and in all the player multiverse rooms. Whenever you enter one, you’ll see a lot of balloons. Click on them to pop each one if you like. Better yet, if you spot a balloon with a big number 3 on it, you can pop it to get an ultra-rare prize. I haven’t found it yet, but if you know what the prize is, post here in the comments for credit! There’s a new page on the main Poptropica site that explains the celebration. Look a the bottom of the page and you’ll see that the “message has been approved by Balloon Boy.” LOL. Maybe the Creators will save him now . Balloon Boy approves...as long as you don't pop his green balloon.

Looks like Linus isn’t alone anymore in the sneak preview of Great Pumpkin Island. If you go to visit, you’ll find Charlie Brown there standing next to him. You can talk to him and learn a little more about why Linus is waiting there for the Great Pumpkin to arrive. There’s still no word on when this new Halloween-themed island will open up in Poptropica, but it looks like it will be fun. I really hope Snoopy and Woodstock make an appearance!

Inside Steamworks – The Old Vine

Inside Steamworks – The Old Vine
by mashakim

Inside Steamworks – The Old Vine is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

I’m continuing this series of shorter walkthrough posts for Poptropica Steamworks Island. After reading through the comments on my Poptropica Cheats for Steamworks Island Post and on the Youtube video, a lot of people are saying that they’re having problems finding the old vine in Steamworks. You’ll need the old vine to defeat the plant monster hiding in the sewers beneath the hatch . And of course you’ll need to defeat him to get down to the elevator engine so that you can power it back up. Finding the old vine is very easy and it’s one of the first things you can do on this quest. You’ll find it in Gear Alley, which is the zone just to the left of the Main Street area where you start. Run left past the Living Quarters building until you see a green steam vent right above street level. Jump up on this to ride it to the roof of this building. You're going to ride this steam vent to get to the roof. Once you land on the roof, there’s the old vine sitting on top of it just waiting for you to pick it up and place it in your backpack. The old vine is up here on the roof. Once you’ve found Sprocket the robot and obtained the Robot Crab, you’ll enter the hatch and descend into the sewers below. Here’s where you’ll use the old vine to grab the steam pipe and defeat the plant monster blocking your path. Eat steam, Plant Monster!

Poptropica Cheats for Great Pumpkin Island is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

The new Halloween-themed island this year will be called Great Pumpkin Island and it will feature the Peanuts characters from the famous TV Special, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The Poptropica Creators unveiled a new map today and on that map you’ll find a sneak peek version of the new island. Only the introductory “Main Street” area is there, but you can meet Linus in the Pumpkin Patch and learn a little bit about the Great Pumpkin. There’s no word yet on when the Halloween island will be released, but this is great news! I’m a huge fan of Charlie Brown and all the Peanuts characters and I can’t wait to meet them in Poptropica. Linus explains the legend of the Great Pumpkin. Bet Linus wasn't expecting the Great Pumpkin to look like this! If you’re not familiar with the original TV special from the 1960′s here’s the link on IMDB: It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown .

Inside Steamworks – The Hatch

Inside Steamworks – The Hatch

Inside Steamworks – The Hatch is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

Hey everyone, the public launch of Steamworks Island is only a few days away and that means soon everyone will be able to play the latest island on Poptropica. Yay! Hopefully you’ve already read through my Poptropica Cheats for Steamworks Island walkthrough and seen the Steamworks walkthrough video on Youtube. They cover everything you need to do to beat Steamworks Island. But since not everyone has the time or need to watch the entire walkthrough, I decided to highlight some of the harder parts of Steamworks Island this week and write-up some mini-guides that cover some of the more challenging parts of the island. We’ll start with one of the first things you’ll come across on the island: the Hatch . The Hatch is located in the Hub zone, which is just to the right of the Main Street area. When you first come across it, you’ll see that it’s glowing red-hot and if you touch it, you’ll bounce off with a big “Ouch!” You can still jump over it, but you cannot open it and go inside. You’ll soon discover that’s something you’re going to need to do, so finding a solution to opening the hatch is a top priority. The hatch is too hot to touch or open. The key is finding something to cool it down, and nothing cools down hot surfaces like water. But where can you find water? The key is the Robot Crab, which you’ll find up by the Living Quarters in Gear Alley. Jump on top of him to pick him up and you’ll also get the key to Sully’s shop. This is important, because you’ll need to get into Sully’s shop for the second part of the solution. The Robot Crab has a little dome on the top with water inside. But you can’t open the dome by yourself to get the water out. For that, you’re going to need help from another robot, Sprocket. To find him, go inside Sully’s shop and ring the bell on the desk. He’ll wake up and then start following you around. Simply go back to the Hatch and then open your backpack. Click on Use on the Robot Crab card and then Sprocket will take it from you, fly high in the air, and drop the poor little Robot Crab onto the Hatch. The glass will break with a Splat and the water will cool down the Hatch, allowing you to open it and go inside. Sprocket gives the Robot Crab the old heave-ho. Poor little guy. There’s the solution to opening the hatch. Stay tuned because I’ll be posting more Steamworks Island hints and tricks over the next few days. Remember, it opens up to the public on Thursday, September 9!

Exclusive: Balloon Boy Letter is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

OK Poptropica Fans, this is huge! Our roving investigative reporters here at at PoptropicaSecrets.com have been able to obtain a letter sent from Balloon Boy to the Poptropica Creators. As you may remember, Balloon Boy flew up into the air towards the beginning of Counterfeit Island, and he hasn’t been spotted since last December. We’ve been campaigning tirelessly to make sure Balloon Boy is rescued on our Save Balloon Boy page. Now Balloon Boy himself has spoken. He wants to be rescued. The fateful starting moment of Balloon Boy's tragic and unending journey around the globe. Here’s a copy of the letter, which we retrieved from the dumpster behind the Poptropica offices. Along with some picture postcards that balloon boy sent to the Poptropica Creators of his journey over the last nine months. What do you think? Will the Poptropica Creators finally let Balloon Boy land safely on the upcoming island? Will he make an appearance? Or is he condemned to a horrible eternity of flying through the air forever holding desperately onto his tiny green balloon? Let everyone know how you feel about Balloon Boy in the comments below! Mansions, Jeeps and Dinosaur Tracks

Mansions, Jeeps and Dinosaur Tracks
by mashakim

Mansions, Jeeps and Dinosaur Tracks is a post from: poptropica secreets mashakim dot info

Steamworks Island is getting ready to launch to the public in a few days, but the Poptropica Creators are already busy at work on the next island. Good thing, too, because back at the beginning of the year when they announced membership, they promised us lots of new islands . They’ve been posting a few new sketches and screenshots from their work on the newest island, which still doesn’t have a name. Last week we saw early sketches of different styles of Poptropica mansions, and there was also a poll to vote on which mansion looked the best. The most popular choice for the mansion in the next island. This week, we’ve seen two new screenshots involving a jeep. One is an overhead view, similar to the navigation map from Skullduggery Island or the airplane trips from Nabooti Island. Only now there’s a jeep/SUV driving over a rugged terrain. If you look closely at the ground, you’ll see what clearly looks like dinosaur tracks on the ground. The whole thing kind of looks like Jurassic Park in a way. How cool would it be if the Creators released Dinosaur Island on Poptropica. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but that would be awesome. Did a Tyrannosaurus make those tracks? And why is a dog driving the jeep? The really strange thing about this overhead view is that it kind of looks like a dog is driving the jeep. Look closely and you’ll see it. But later they posted a close-up side view that shows the jeep has a brown roof, so the dog is actually riding on top of the jeep. Still kind of strange! The second close-up side view of the jeep also clearly shows that it’s outfitted for an excursion, so we know that you’ll be driving around from place to place. You know…to see dinosaurs. A side view of a jeep / SUV in an upcoming Poptropica island.
